Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Life stuff.

I have noticed more lately that when I urinate, it's not nearly as...strong or forceful as it used to be.

Is this a common Diabetes related problem or maybe I should see the Dr.??

I am not a guy, so I only have a couple of suggestions that might be worth checking out. Enlarged prostate? Or if you are taking neurontin, this can be one annoying side effect.

I don't think it is diabetes related. And, yes, I would discuss it with the doc.

Surf, I've had that problem for some time now. Dx is enlarged prostate. My Endo - and a Urologist - said it very well MIGHT be D related. He said there was no way to know for certain because many men develop the problem as they age who are not D.

Could it be also accompanied by ED?

Nerve damage is common among diabetics, especially long term diabetics. I have been diabetic for 62 years. I have nerve damage in many parts of my body. Where there is nerve damage there is a weakening of the muscles associated with those nerves. My arms are much weaker than they used to be. That started when I was in my 40's. I even have nerve damage in my ears and it has affected my hearing. Heaing aids did not help. My stream is definitely weaker now, probably because there is nerve damage there and the muscles that enable me to push out the urine are weakened.

ED is a fairly common problem from D; most especially if it is out of control for a long period of time. ED is also all too common as men age. There may or may not be a connection to enlarged prostate.

I suggest you see a Urologist to cover all the bases.
