I'm from Cincy aka the Nati. I'm thinking of planning some meet & greet in columbus in the spring when the weather's warmer. No idea where or what to do yet, but am looking for any input from people interested in attending.

I would be interested in making the trip. It's not that far from me in southern Michigan.

I live between Sandusky and Toledo. I've been to Akron and the Falls a few times.
Jedi, you wanted some input for a Columbus area meet and greet? I can suggest two possible places: Easton at the east edge of Columbus or the Columbus Zoo on the north side.

I was actually thinking Easton myself as that's about all I know up there besides Polaris (sp?) on the North.
It would most likely be on a Saturday for just an afternoon or something. Not really sure since people would be driving from all hours of the state.

I am from the Columbus area. Grew up in Mansfield, and lived in Elyra. My 18 yo nefew was from the Akron/Canton area before he was killed last year in a car accident.

There will be way much more to do at Easton than Polaris. If you do an evening as well, their is Great comedy club at Easton.
Let me know when and where. If I can make it I will. Only 15 minutes from Easton.
There was a group of us that met up at Kings Island last year, good fun day.

Me too, Nicole. Just north of Jedi, grew up in Portsmouth, and was often in Akron. Where is Easton and what's to do there, Jim and Kevin? Is it close to Columbus, I have family there. If I don't have surgery in the next couple of months, Pat and I will be there.

Penny is in Columbus, time to lock the doors and call the kids and animals in for the day :D
Easton is on the North East side of town. Just Northish of the Airport. It is a huge indoor/outdoor shopping center. Kind of like a little town. Has shops/restaurants/apartments/movie theater/comedy clubs and much much more. You could be their at 9am spend all day, and may not do all that it has to offer. depending on how fast or slow you shop.
If you like Cheesecake, the Cheesecake Factory is to die for (or so I have been told have not ate their yet)

There's one up the street from me at "The Greene", I was there with my Red Hat group. I like their food, but it is overpriced. I even had a piece of sugar free cheese cake, it was good, and didn't seem to do too much damage to my BS. Our daughter lives in Powell, we would probably spend the night there.

If anybody from Ohio still wants to get together, how about my picnic here in SE Michigan? Dave will probably be coming I know.

Grew up outside the Findlay area. Know folks from all over the state.

I am from Columbus myself as well. I'm actually a short little 10-15 mins tops from the Easton area myself. Not sure if I would be able to make a SE Mich trip for a meet n greet as some things in my life at the moment might halt such a trip unless it was a weekend and the timing was right. We'll have to see what arises and hopefully wherever we think of grouping up together at I can make it. I'm pretty open to any ideas of where to head to. As to a comment Jegg mentioned about the comedy club at Easton, it's a great place for a night out. I went there once to see Michael Windslow and it was an absolute blast.

It is on July 27th beginning at 3:00 or before, whenever anyone gets here. Did you make it to the NASCAR race on Sunday? I'm about 5 miles from MIS.
