Last night I had a severe sore throat and felt very uncomfortable. I had No fever or anything else. I got up and decided to gargle some Salt water and chek my BS. As I went to check the entire room started spinning real fast and just kept bumping into everything. I called out to My fiancee to help me and he came right awa, as he was asleep, He checked my BS and I was fine. I got so scared because the entire room kept spinning and fast. What could this be?

Could it have been low blood pressure? It happens to me often when I stand up and is not unusual for long-time diabetics.

I have had that happen to me once but I had the feeling like my ears needing to pop, if you know what I mean. The feeling went away after about 2 hours when my ear drums did pop. I was distorted and had no sence of balance. was not a good time.

Virus can often start with dizziness. Usually, when I am coming down with something, my first indication is headache and dizziness. I hope you feel better today. If it persists, call your doctor. :(

Hey.....aren't you trying to get pregnant????? ;)

I get some viruses that start out as dizziness, especially if I get up quickly in the middle of the night, thinking I'm low.

I hope you're okay now. Probably have a nasty cold now, yes?

Two of my sons had a horrible virus earlier this month that produced massive dizziness for days...that was a new one for me!

Sounds like vertigo. If it persists you should get Antivert. It is an OTC medication. You can pick it up at any pharmacy.

It sounds like you may have had a possible bout of positional vertigo. I had the same thing happen to me be last summer. The dizzy feeling would come and go sometimes and not be very severe. THEN the big one hit a few days later and the room spun around for around 30 minutes straight. I would not wish this on anyone. Ended up very sick. The doctor said its caused by a virus that settles in your middle ear, they can't give you anything for it. All they give you is pills for dizziness, which helps. It did not totally pass for around 6 weeks though. Do you remember if you turned your head or move suddenly when the dizziness came on. Thats one thing that brings on the dizziness like right now is by moving.
Just a thought

Some have suggested vertigo, but...

Maybe you were drunk!

I'm just kidding. No, seriously, probably vertigo of some kind.
