Body Temp

Does anyone else have problems with regulating their body temp? It seems one minute I can be cold with the skin crawling chills and then the next be sweating. I drives me nuts, it's 18 out and snowing like crazy and I'm sweating. I just got back from Arizona where it was nice and warm and I'd have the chills. I have a Dr apt tomorrow but I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks

Gee, it's cold where you are! I've had those type issues and am pretty sensitive to temperature changes. I drink a cold drink and get cold; a hot drink makes me hot. It sounds like you might be coming down with something.

My hands started freezing just thinking about the temperature you have outdoors!

Well this has been going on for about 3 weeks now so if it is illness it sure is taking it's time. lol With the amount of snow I'm getting right now I'd rather be in Texas, never mind they just closed the airport. :eek:

I have temperature issues. I stay cold year round. I keep a space heater under my desk going all year round. At night I sleep with a fleece blanket directly on my skin, then a sheet, then the comforter, then another blanket at the end of the bed covering just my feet and then a pillow on top of that. And with all that. I am still cold. My feet are always freezing. I remember my grandma when I was younger, she would lay down at night next to me and her feet would be freezing too. And she would try to warm them up on my legs. COuld this be a family thing? Or a diabetes thing?

Gee, it sounds like you have a low functioning thyroid. I've been on synthroid for years. When not at the correct dose, I know it, because I can be cold when nobody else is. If that was your case, you'd also likely have fingernails that break easily (or don't grow) and slow growing hair, and you'd be tired much of the time. I could be wrong of course . . . it could also be poor circulation.

As long as your body temp is above room temperature, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
