First, welcome to the forum! Second, yes, it's very much possible and is a frequent report from some diabetics. Your body responds to hormones in different ways. When we release adrenaline, for example, our body increases the amount of available sugar in the bloodstream. We also release adrenaline when we work out.
Your levels should go down after you are done with your workout, and should continue to lower for a few hours after the workout (depending on what you take in foodwise in the meantime). I hope that answers your question.

Welcome to the club and good for you to be exercising!
I have heard of this phenomenon of rising sugars after a workout but thankfully I stay even or drop from gym work and need to lower my pump's basal rate a bit for the duration of the workout.
If you do nothing does it drop later?

It don't work like that, I'm sorry to say. If you're a diabetic, it's forever plus a day. You may be able to control it with diet and exercise alone, and get rid of the meds, but you will still be a diabetic.
Good luck. Keep in touch, and never fear asking questions here. Sorry I can't help on the T 1.5 question, but someone else will help you there.

Hi Cindy & Welcome to the forum.
A few questions for you........are you eating breakfast before your workout, and if so, what are you eating? Are you watching your carbohydrate intake?
I walk 3 miles almost every evening about 1-1/2 hours after eating dinner. Depending on what I ate and how many carbohydrates I consumed, my BS can rise a bit higher, then it takes a tumble about an hour after I get back in from the walk.

Hi Cindy! nice to meet you. We have another Cindy here and she's a really nice gal. You'll meet her eventually if you stay around. Her user name is "gettingby", a T 1.
Are you seeing an endocrinologist? If not, is your GP well versed in management of D? Seems that a great many GPs are simply not up to speed on tight control of D.
You haven't mentioned your meds. I began on glipizide, and found it very confusing, as I had dramatic highs and lows. After about a year, I switched to metformin, and had much better control. You must work out what is best for you!

Welcome Cindy.
What type of exercise are you doing? How intense? How much weight do you have to lose?
You can forget about modesty. Most of us have ;)
It is very common to go high after intense activity. If you can slow it down a bit and perhaps go longer, it may help. Also don't forget to eat. Don't be in too much of a hurry to lose the weight. Long and slow works best in the long run.
