Well what should I do if before I do my Lantus my blood is 17.0. Should I do my lantus or take some Humalog? This is before I go to bed

Take the Lantus as normal and then take some Humalog via a seperate injection to bring that down. You need the Lantus or you will continue going up throughout the night. You need the Humalog for the instant (well 3 hour) bring that BG down. If you don't, you won't have a nice night's sleep.
