I just joined the forum today. I am looking forward to getting to know people here and share in support and information! This is the first attempt at becoming part of a forum for diabetes that I have made since my dx in 2003. I hope this will be the kick in the rear that I need to finally really take this disease seriously!

Welcome to the Scooby Gang, Kim! I'm a Tennessee girl myself (Knoxville). You'll learn a lot with this forum--lots of smart folks here with tons of experience. And we all behave ourselves, for the most part. Usually. :T

Hi Kim!

I think this may be just what you need. It was great for me. The only problem I have now is working more and checking on here less! Glad you joined and hope to "see" you around.

Hi Kim, and welcome to the forum. We are all pretty good at keeping each other in-line here, so you came to the right place. What have you not been doing so we can get on your case about it? Are you testing, watching carbs, exercising, etc? Are you on any meds?

We'll do our best to get you back on track, but you gotta stay with us here.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Lewsterr, I go through long periods of not testing, and exercise is a foreign word to me! However, I am going to start testing more again and I have a new dog buddy to start taking walks with. We took our first yesterday. The key for me is to keep it up! I usually am all fired up for a few days or week or so (just like with a diet) then just stop!
