How many DFW Area DF Members?

How many of you live close to the DFW area? Charlotte (Palefacegirl) and I got together and had a great time. I know there are 2 more of you who live fairly close by (Bill & Mark).

Anyone else around here? We need to plan another meeting -- maybe lunch, for starters. It's another beautiful sunny day today, isn't it!

Jan - I am in the DFW area at Fossil Creek. I would have gotten here sooner but I was dxd in April w/T2 (see how fast I learned the language?) I was primarily looking at some messages from people suffering from Sleep Apnea and Diabetes as I am curious about the relationship. Tks.

Hi all! I started this thread a long time ago . . . just so happens that Charlotte (Paleface) and I are meeting at Northeast Mall today! I'd love to still plan a get-together for as many of us as are interested . . . maybe around Labor Day . . . or even sooner!

Let me know if any of you are interested, and if you have a good idea for location and what to do -- even something other than eating!

In theory, I get every other Friday off - this week is an off Friday (we are in a slow period so I may get this one off - yea!).

Sometimes there is too much going on and I don't get the day off but one of my scheduled off Fridays would be my best bet.

Ironically, my Dallas trips involved driving with polyurea and polydipsia in full force. Had I known you guys then, I probably could have avoided some unpleasantness later. Heh.

Yes, Jan and I have gotten together 3 times, we will meet up sometime during the holidays to celebrate my birthday, we just both have to get well first.


We need to work on a get together for more of us sometime soon.

Maybe a link in our sigs to see how many we can get together and we can set something up.

my g/f and I will be in the DFW area May 21st to June 5th, seeing friends & family in Denton, Mesquite and Ft. Worth. I will also be driving down to San Antone to show my g/f where I used to live back in the days.

If you guys want to get together for lunch or dinner in that timeframe let me know. I met Harold last year when I was up in the land of Oz seeing some friends with the Wichita Police.

I will stay in the DFW area for 4 or 5 days, then drive down to San Antonio to show my girlfriend where I used to live back in the old days, then go down to Corpus Christi for a couple of days and return to DFW by June 2nd or 3rd.

Those of us who live west of the 97th meridian do not use Dallas as a datum. After all Fort Worth is where the "West begins".

BBQ sounds great ! I pass on the bungee jumping stuff too, I'm a parachutist. We'll do some horsebackriding in the Hill Country later that week, so don't worry about it. ;)

We are either staying with friends in Denton, Ft. Worth or Mesquite. Haven't made up my mind yet. I rented a nice Dodge Charger, so whereever we hook up we're there in no time (as long as the PD or the DPS doesn't pull me over... LOL).

(And, Mike, we live in Southlake, closer to Ft. Worth and Denton than Mesquite.) But don't expect a "typical" Southlake house -- we are in a small, "regular" house! And I'm thinking around 2pm or whatever works for you guys. Bring swimming clothes if interested ok? Kid's would love swimming . . .

However, if you want to come early and get some sun and even swimming in while it's nice and warm -- come a couple hours early!!

Howdy ! Just letting you folks know that we are back in Germany, safe and sound. Flying out of DFW on friday at 4pm, touching down in Munich on saturday at 1pm. What a trip...:D

We really enjoyed the little GTG at Jan and meeting you guys ! The brisket was excellent (the seasoning is sensational !). Great to put some faces to the names. We really enjoyed the trip to TX, I was able to show my g/f quite alot of the wonderful Lone Star State. Put some 2800 mls. on my rental Dodge Charger, showing her Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Fredericksburg, Bandera, Austin, Texarkana and Wichita Falls. :cool:

We'll be back next year ! May/June in Las Vegas, maybe a little stopover in TX...:T
