Anyone who uses Smiths for their pump supplies have any trouble getting a return call from them?

I don't, especially when my insurance company still hasn't paid them for my supplies last July.

I've never had a problem with them (when I've worked with them). I use Animas to buy my supplies at, only because they offer the sets I want (Rapid-Ds) and the Cozmo cartridges, so it's basically one-stop shopping.

Sounds like your insurance company is the problem on that one, Rikki.

I have had no issues with customer support at Smith's. They are here in St Paul and whenever I have an issue with my pump or ordering supplies they are VERY responsive. In fact my insurance company has yet to pay Smith's for my pump and it has been almost a year now. I have never yet been refused a reorder of my supplies because of that. There is however a backlog of CLEO 90 infusion sets, so Smith's sent me a trial box of 3 which held me over until the full order was processed. I received the backorder approx 4 days after I received the trial box. ANd I had a pump fail not to long ago and I had a replacement to me the next day, even when the original pump has still not been paid for....

The reason I ask is, my endo faxed all info to them for me to order my supplies from them but left out one paper. A lady from Smiths called and I faxed the required info to her but have not heard anything back. I called and left her a voice mail but still nothing. Guess I'll call back tomorrow. If I get no results, my endo's office will be calling them !!!;)

I can't reiterate enough, that there's going to be good & bad in any company you deal with, no matter who you deal with. If this person doesn't help you the way you want, go above her head...I know I would.

If you're ordering supplies, it's usually less likely that you'd have problems, because the company would be losing money on the deal if things fell through.

There are also third party companies that one could use to get supplies at a lower rate. I think it just depends on how you want to go about it, and whether or not insurance will cover. With Animas, I get all the supplies I need & pay the difference off in payments. That said, I've never had problems with Smiths when I've used them, either. I think it just depends on who you talk to.

I agree Dew. I'm not "bashing" anyone. I just was looking to see if others were getting good service. I'll call my insurance company tomorrow to see if they have any third party companies that they cover for pump supplies. And if I can't get a call back from Smith's, I'll get my endo's office on it. He has a "bulldog" on payroll. She's tuff !!!! :D
Thanks for the replies all !!! :)
