Stupid Rant!

I have been looking for my blood glucose monitor for twenty minutes. I was sure I was low, but couldn't find my meter to tell me how low. It sure would have been easier to find if the case was RED or YELLOW. But no, the cases I have are all black and navy blue. Does anyone else but me lose their meter and does anyone else think that it would be much easier to find in a bright colored case?

Along with a six foot red streamer. So when it gets shoved in a drawer or a magazine laid over it the streamer will stick out. :thumbsup:

LOL Nancy! I did the same thing this morning too; coulda sworn I put my meter on the counter in the kitchen then when I went to get it it wasn't there :o ! Searched for it for a half an hour until I finally saw it sitting in my purse, and I still don't remember putting it there!

What'd be nice is if there was a page button and it would beep like my cordless phone does :D Of course then I'd probably lose the page button... :rolleyes:

My solution....have multiple meters! This way I don't move them and lose them.

I have problems misplacing my meter at times too. I try to keep it in one specific place but I don't always. I keep a backup in a cabinet and usually another one near the bed so if I should need to check my blood sugar and not be able to find my "main" meter.

I bought this thingy from sharper image for my husband. It has 4 "beeper" like tags that can be glued or attached to items, and when you can't find an item, you press the correlating button on the main unit and the beeper will beep.

My husband loves the thing - says it's the best present I ever got him, lol.

Hmmmm.....your idea is a good one Heather. Maybe I will find one of those things.

I would like it if Accu-check and some of the other companies would make cute cases for the meters. Even if they sold them seperately, I would buy one. Hawaiin print or bright colors. Does anyone know if there is a company that sells meter cases that are better looking than the ones that come with the meter itself?
