I'm at work so I'll make this quick. I went out to eat with some friends last weekend, then retired to thier condo, where we met up with Beth. Beth is 21. My guess, is she's ~30lbs overweight, but all-in-all pretty healthy. Non-smoker.
She saw me checking my sugar and was just curious to see what hers was. She's never heard much about diabetes, let alone think that her sugars would be bad. She hadn't eaten anything in the last 4-5 hrs. I think she said she had a coke about 3hrs prior.
I put in a new needle, gave her a 'prickin' and waited. Her BS was 172.
Isn't this a little high for just having a coke a few hours ago? What could I do to get her stubborn self checked out?
