Hello All;

New T1 of about 7 months, trying to learn all I can. I am currently researching which pump to get (per my Endo suggestion). I will be surfing the T1 and Pump forums. I have looked at a few other sites, but so far, this one seems to be pretty popular, and the folks posting seem like a nice bunch!

Hi Koblenz

I'm T2, so can't offer any advice about pumps or anything, but just wanted to agree with you about how nice everyone is here.

Hope you'll learn a lot, and that you'll post some more :D

Welcome to the Forums, koblenz! We do have a fantastic group here; the best on the web IMO! Everyone here will put their best foot forward to help fellow diabetics, while laughing and having fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here and I look forward to reading your posts :) .

Have a good look at the Pumping Insulin forum; there's loads of valuable information in there. And don't hesitate to ask whatever questions you'd like answers to :D

Happy posting!

I am T1 and a pumper so ask away...as are many of the others here as well. We all have to deal with the diabetes and this is a great place for support and answers. WELCOME.....

Hi Koblenz and welcome! I'm T1 myself but have decided against a pump for now if possible. We've got a great group of folks and lots of pumpers, so I hope you're able to find the info you're looking for and make some new friends along the way.

Nice to meet you,
HeatherP

Hi and Welcome,

I happen to love this forum, I think you will too if you stick around. :) ;) :D :p

I was on the pump, for about a year, but have recently decided to take a break for awhile due to some problems I was having. The pump is not for everyone. I believe strongly that you have to do what's works best for you. Currently I am on MDI of Lantus and Humalog and am trying to debate whether I go back on the pump. I most likely will return to it at some point, I do miss some of the features and would like to give it another chance. Karen (KLD) so nicely posted about the untethered approach in another section, and I am seriously considering that if and when I go back.

Anyway, I think you can find many answers to your question in the "Pumping" section of this forum. Whatever other questions you have, just let us know...we'll be happy to try to help you out :)

Take care!

a link will be offered. Again Welcome and all the best
to you.
