Okay I swear that my 722 would alarm when it was empty. Is that correct? The last couple of times I have gone dry, I have not had an alarm. I just happen to look down at my CGMS to see what my numbers was and I was empty.

So does the 722 alarm when you run dry of insulin, or am I gone crazy and just think it has in the past :questionm

If you take it out when it hits zero, you can see there is still quite a bit left in the tank. I figure it holds about 20 units below zero. I've let it run for awhile to check, and it will eventually sound an alarm. I've filled mine all the way, and the most I get is just under 280 units where it should be 300.

If you have an open circle left you still have insulin left and it's still delivering. Dark circle and it's dry and not delivering insulin. There is a low reservoir alarm. It's set in the utilites-> alarms menu.

Yep you can set for low reservoir. I set for about 1/2 daily total usage, so that I know I need to change it in the next half day, or first thing tommorow. It will tend to beep you periodlically once you are below the low reservoir settig, too.

But I know exactly what you mean. Whether you have low reservoir alarm on or off, it can run out with suprisingly little fanfare. The auto off alarms are another matter - it beeps, vibrates, annoys you every minute. When I didn't have a quickserter and went back to injections one weekend I had to put the pump in the spare room and bury it.

I think it should do this highly irritating alarm state as soon as it runs out... a couple times I have slept through the samey beep it gives on low reservoir. More alarm options such as alarm + vibrate (not just one or other) would be desperately appreciated!
