I'm currently taking a pill called Januvia 100 mg once daily. Here latelly I have been having a lot of itch skin. I was on a website the other day that listed some of the side effects of this medicine. Not only do I have the itchy skin, I also have a runny nose which is another side effect of the medicine. Is anyone else taking this medicine? If so, what are the side effects that you had when you started taking the meds?

Have you called your doctor about this? How long have you been taking Januvia? How soon did your itching start? Often times with a "drug-reaction" you'll have "spots" on your trunk or elsewhere on your body. Is the itching in one area, or all over?

Also, this is the time of year for dry skin. Perhaps you could try something like Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion and see if this helps any and keep your home humidified.

I have recently started on Janumet which is a combination of Januvia and Metformin. I have not had any side effects. I did read about the cold symptoms though, what a strange side effect. Any itchiness is always a possible sign of allergy, so I would definitely call your doctor just to be on the safe side!
