well i slouched into my diabetic nurses office this morning promptly burst into tears and told her about my bad diarrhea, sickness and the metform seemingly doing diddly squat about my levels....which are between 12 and 17 constantly with spikes of 20 and 21

so come 5:15 this evening i have a appointment with Diabetes specialist and the option of insulin discussed.....and retyping me as type 1.....

hmmmmm

day not going as planned :(

oh well i report back on what the "Mr Diabetic specialist" Doctor says...

Don't worry about the type change, be hopeful that you can get things under control! If pills aren't cutting it, insulin definitely will. You will feel better when your numbers come down. And congrats on scoring a visit with the doc.;)

Sorry the day is working out as planned, but at least you are being taken seriously and getting attention. Try keep your chin up, when you are in control either with insulin or other tablets you'll feel so much better.

Let us know how it goes for you. Don't be afraid of insulin if it is your best option.

You poor thing! Sometimes tears are what finally get things done, so don't feel bad about that!!! I think a diabetes specialist sounds very good! Hang in there!
