I have no idea how much weight I have lost over these past 5-6 weeks since changing my meds and really being GOOD with my eating. The thing I really wanted in order to feel successful was for someone to say "you look like you've lost weight!" Well ... finally, this Saturday my husband and then my daughter both told me that at different times during the day! I asked them both repeatedly if the other put them up to it ... lol! It was SO good to finally be to the point where my efforts are starting to be noticed! Yippee!!!:D

That's absolutely great, it's always more rewarding to hear that than to just see the number of the scale (which I know you haven't checked yet) going down.
Well done, I'm sure it has helped to keep your motivation.
I'm so happy for you.

Kim,
I think you have amazing strength to have not weighed yet!! Have you increased the distance you are walking? I'm looking forward to learning how much you have lost. The most important thing though is feeling stronger, healthier and more confident.

Well, I "banned" scales in our home years ago! ;) I do plan to still buy a Physician's Balanced Beam scale, but not until after my re-check appointment on April 1st.
No, I haven't increased my distance but I can tell I am much more able to do it without feeling like I'm going to drop dead halfway around! :D Unfortunately my "new" walking buddy (Husky) pulls on his lead and has given me a bad back strain. I had a sleepless night on Saturday due to terrible back spasms all night long. It's always something!
I'm not going to let that stop me though, and I did print off a good stretching workout from online that I plan to tryout soon as well!
THANK YOU for being so nice!;)
