Please correct me if I am wrong... If your A1C numbers are in the good range of around 6 and kept around that all the time, aren't your chances of not having diabetic complications such as eye problems, amputee instances, heart problems, etc. a lot better and often acutualy have no problems with these complications? If that is the case, why can't insurance grade you on these numbers to see if you qualify for their insurance instead of instantly deny you once they find out if you are on insulin. Any ideas on this? They don't even care if you are a class 1 or 2, only the fact you are on insulin. I tried to tell the ins. company that I am a diabetic 2. But once he heard that I was on insulin then it was a no deal. If I was just on pills, then it was a different matter. Frustated at the unfairness.:argh:
