Sounds like your nutritionist wants you to stick to Celery  Gee :s: This sounds difficult:o

Recheck what she said. To have 2 carbs and 1 fat and 1 protien is not enough to sustain a bird. maybe she was saying 1 serving of carbs which is usually around 15g of carbs. 30 carbs per meal is doable as is a 15g carb snack.

She's talking exchanges folks ;)
Ask your nutritionist to talk in grams. 1 exchange of carbs is 15 grams, so you can have 30 grams of carbs per meal. Today diabetics measure food in grams by component. This is not 1985!
Hi Jenny,
I completely agree with John and Gordon. Two carbs has to mean the old exchange system. Otherwise you would be eating about a fourth cup of lettuce with a cube of cheese 1/2 the size of a domino and six drops of dressing for each meal. That can't be what the nutritionist meant.
Sometimes when a lot of information comes at you all at once, it's hard to hear it all, isn't it? Hang in there. The learning curve with diabetes is steep. It won't be long before you understand the big picture and can easily understand new information that fits in. We all started out just where you are now.

If you are diabetic, I don't think you'll have any problem keeping your blood sugar up! :-)
I agree with the others...she probably meant two carb servings per meal...although even in the old system, I think that one is advised.
I agree also with the others to try to start thinking in carbs.
Good luck.
