Nerve ends

I have been having a prickly, creepy sensation steming from my right side temple down through my face. It is terribly annoying. It feels like a million creeply bugs running through my head. I am Type II. I have had all kinds of tests, MRI, Ultra Sound, Blood tests, etc. All the tests that I have had have tested just fine. The only thing the Doctors can come up with is that I may have some nerve-end damage from the Diabetes to the nerves stemming up and down my head and face. Has anyone had these symptons happen to them and what have you done to eliminate some of this crazy feeling. Thanks all.

I do have a similar feeling, but mine starts just behind the right ear and runs down to the base of my neck. After many tests, my neurologist dx'd me with Occiptal Neuralgia and put me on 10-20mg of Elavil. Elavil is actually an anti-depressant that is also used to treat nerve pain.

I have had this feeling from time to time on the left frontal lobe of my head. Just this week I have experienced it on the left side of my face. Starts below my eye and runs down my cheek. My supervisor said it was caused by stress. A co-worker worried I was having a stroke. I will be bringing it up at my next doctor's appointment, but that won't be for a couple of months. I look forward to reading what others write.
