Ok, so this goes against everything I have posted recently about my CGMS accuracy (which has been pretty darn good...)

I went to bed with a new sensor, attached the transmitter, but didn't "start it" with my pump... A good way to get a good ISIG and good readings... normally...

I put this sensor in my lower hip/upper bum, for the first time.

Woke up at 95, started sensor, and put in my 95 at 6:30... The rest.... well you can see in the picture... By the time I got to work, (8:00) my sensor read "over 400", meter reading was 105... the line continues as shown, my meter readings never above 130.

Go figure.

Guess it didn't like the new location. Will restart it and try again, sometimes that works.

I know one person who will get a kick out of this for sure...

I had a 54 today that was really a 94, and a 144 that was really a 99, but overall I've been doing okay lately.

Glad you have been doing better... this day improved a bit, but it was a hard comeback...

I haven't had much luck with my hip/bum areas. Every one I've put there has been pretty inaccurate. I suspect because of the angle of the darn thing. Hopefully they come out with a 90* sensor. I don't like the sils and find it irritating that I have to do an angle for the sensor.

side note--on day 12 of current sensor and readings are just about dead on.

The sensor I have in now did that as well. Started around 90 and shot up to over 400 in like 30-40 min. Re calibrated it an hour or so later and it's been pretty accurate ever since. It seems they sometimes take a few hours from when they are started to get accurate.

Wish mine lasted 12 days. I get just about 7.

This one straightened right out last evening, overnight, and into today. It is just about dead on now...

Come to think of it, I had a few imatation day-quil tablets, with acetamenophin (sp?). That usually hasn't affected my sensors, but I have heard that it does...

I usually connect the sensor before bed without starting it, to avoid the first 10 or so hours being inaccurate. By doing this, I start it in the morning, it asks for a meter BG within 5 minutes, and it is usually dead on from there...
