Last spring/summer when the UltraMini was introduced, I was not interested despite really liking the Ultra platform---due to the fact that you could not upload the numbers. (It had no connectivity port.) Well last week at my doc appointment, they gave me a new meter and I had the choice of the Mini or Ultra 2. The nurse told me that you can now upload it, they added the port. So that is what I took home and have been using for the last week. I like it's slim design and I already have an Ultra 2 anyway.
I just went to upload it to Carelink and it can't find the meter. Has anyone else had problems with this? A bit irritated here, not sure why it won't go.

I would have to agree with Solo. The Ultra Mini to upload data hasn't even been out a month yet (I didn't even know it was out till this post.) Have you tried uploading it using a different Ultra meter? The Ultra Mini is just like the Ultra if I recall correctly so maybe that protocol will work.

Yes I did. That was my first thought too. For now, I pulled out my Ultra 2 and will use that until I know for sure I can upload it. (Lifescan's website offered a new driver for it to work with their software.) I only used it for a week or so, and had a sensor in so all that data is on carelink. No biggie, I'll wait and see how long it takes them to add it, as I'm sure they will--it is an Ultra after all. I'm glad they added the port. Makes it fit in better with those other Ultras.
As a side note it looks as if the new UltraLink is based on the OneTouch Select. How long till this is off and running?
