Endo seems pretty happy. My A1C was 5.8! She was a little concerned about me having lows with that number.. I should have told her people around here have low 5's, even a couple high 4's if I remember correctly. Anyways, I do go low 3-4 times a week, but it certainly isn't intentional, as I find it a little exhausting, dangerous depending on the situation, and counterproductive in any event as I tend to rollercoast off those lows.
She gave me the fear factor in terms of morning lows, and not waking up. That wasn't exactly pleasant to hear.
Funniest thing, was she thought I weighed about 170 pounds.. That was a bit of a shock as I'm closer to 215. But interesting to hear, and certainly nothing I would have heard a year ago when I was pushing 250.. In some ways diabetes has made me healthier.

Interesting. My endo seems totally unconcerned about hypos.
Have your hypo incindences changed in terms of quantity and intensity? Those of us who have dropped into this range of A1C have actually improved in both areas. This is called improved control not just a lower A1C.

One part of her concern was driving.
Overall my hypos aren't that much different then they were 3-4 months ago.. they often happen after lunch, and are pretty fixable in a 10 minute timespan. I did go through a bad couple weeks (which conveniently occured after I gave blood for the test), but with some added exercise things seem to have settled down, and my insulin sensitivity has picked way up again, which in turn has led to a couple hypos recently.
