My BG has been a little bit higher the last few days, it doesn't go as low as it used to do with same amount of insulin. I want it to go down to 5ish before each meal, but now it stays up in 6. After 5-6pm it starts to rise a bit, and I require more insulin.

Is this honeymoon ending? Or is it because I have a slight cold/sore throat?

Also been feeling sort of "off" lately.

I'm not on insulin and I'm a Type 2, but when I get a cold my numbers do tend to run a little higher.

Also, it goes down, but then jumps up a point or so. That's quite odd...

For example 30 minutes ago I had 5.4, then now I have 6.3... And it's 2 1/2 hours since I ate. 40 carb dinner and took 4 IE Novorapid.

I would suggest it’s just the cold/illness/stress. End of honeymoon tends to be a bit more dramatic, however if your insulin requirement continues to grow and stays high for a long period of time then it probably means the end nigh. Take it as it comes, every once in a while my insulin requirements totally change for unknown reasons, although i guess its normally down to activity levels, different diet etc. ;)

That's not always an odd sign, as it depends upon what you ate and how quickly it gets into your system. Some foods can take that long to get in, and when you insulin runs out after 4 hours the food can still keep going.

Another thing to bear in mind is that most BG meters are +/- 15% accuracy. If you take that into account, 5.4 and 6.3 could actually both be about a 6!

As to your requirements, over the last 6 weeks my insulin ramped up quite significantly and has now come down. Not to its original level, but where I suddenly need a lot less. Apart from last night where the evening ratio changed again (either that or I've suddenly got really bad at weighing and measuring).

It happens; the important thing is that you've noticed so as you can deal with it.

It is probably the cold. but if your insulin needs continues going up after you've gotten rid of the cold, it could be the honeymoon ending.
