Out of curiousity...
Can a T1 go through another honeymoon stage (10,20,30 years) after diagnosis?
How do you tell if one is going through that period?

Since the body keeps making new insulin producing cells, I would guess it could happen.
I'm sure someone here has a better answer for you =)

Speculation: Not sure what the body can produce. I guess one would tell by using something like the c-peptide test to determine how much insulin one's body is producing...
Philosophical mini-rant: Labels ("type 1" and "type 2", "honeymoon", et cetera) are kind of arbitrary. Long-term, it's a question of "how much are you making" and "how do you respond to it"... the labels just make convenient groupings for discussion.
