Well, after being exposed to all the new stuff on the market through my job for about 2 years now, i've decided to make the step to move to pumping.
I've changed endo's to one who has mentioned to me previously about thinking to move to a pump, and the only thing that has been stopping me has been the thought of having something 'connected' to me. But, the benefits to my lifestyle from what i can see far outweigh those thoughts now.
But, how easy was it? Well, just a call to my insurance company. I called up HCF yesterday to ask about their clinical assessments. I was put onto a CA officer who told me exactly what my doctor should write, exactly what to do, and then the claim would be automatically accepted! Not bad for an insurance company!!!!! They asked which pump i had in mind (the Animas 2020) and they said that was a good choice ;)
Anyway, i'm very excited. I'm off to my new Endo next week to get everything sorted out :)
