Ok... so those times you have a high reading, whatever the reason... Today I way underbolused for my lunch, it was a buffet type thing and I was super hungry.
A few hours later I was in the low 300s. (OK, waaayy underbolused)
So I tried something mentioned a few weeks back by someone...
Gave 5 units of Symlin, half of my correction, and was back under 150 in an hour. 100 in hour and a half... Made it down to mid 70s, but never hypo from it.
Anyone have a medical reason not to use Symlin with insulin to help with correction boluses? Clearly you wouldn't give a full correction, as it would knock you on your rear... What do you think?
If you think it was stupid move, say so, I don't offend (too) easily...
