Have any diabetics out there tried Shrooms?

So 4/20 is coming up, and for those of you who do not know about that day, it is "National Smoke Weed Day". A few of my buddies were planning on eating some shrooms, and I was all for it at first, but wondered if it would have any affect on my Diabetes.

Yeah, I know, shrooms are illegal, but hey, I'm in college and I want to try them. I wanted to seek everyones advice, personal experience, any advice at all on this topic. I want to try it, but if its a serious health risk with me, I will stay away. Yes, theres always a possibility of my sugar going low, but I would be coherent enough to eat during it and run a little high on the safe side. People will be there who are not going to be on them, so its a safe bet. I'd appreciate anyones advice. Thanks alot.

My advice is don't do it, they are illegal for a reason. It's not worth it.

Here's a better idea, how about you DON'T and say you DID instead?

You're diabetic, hopefully trying to live quality and long life, I think you've enough on your plate without messing with illegal drugs.

From your lack of experience and my first hand experience you can be assured that after a couple of bites you will loose all interest in eating any solid food. After that you will find the idea of food repulsive under the influence of shrooms, mescaline, or LSD. Also especially shrooms seem to leave your stomach a bit upset and lead many to the porcelain throne to have a talk with Ralph. Not that you would actually care at the time. IMHO you will do what you want, and ignore any of our advice. Before you do any shrooms, ask any of your peers that have claimed to have done shrooms how they felt about eating while under the influence.

Here we go again. Don't do it. Any type of illegal drug is a serious health risk. Hey I'm in college, hey you only die once also. You are not indistructable as most kids think.

I think anythign like that will cause your blood sugar to go up.
for example i took too many percocets and that shot my BS out the roof. I don't advise you to do any sort of drug, no matter what it is. If perscription drugs can do that more than likely ILLEGAL drugs will.

I'm sure we can all relate to college, feeling indestructible, peer pressure, wanting to experiment BUT I bet if you asked some of your friends honestly they really don't want to try these either... they are just looking for an excuse not to and you could help them there. I'm not judging what you are doing... I may not have tried illegal drugs but in my Royal Navy years I used much more than my fair share of alcohol... it's not worth it... there are much bigger and better highs to be had by living life to it's fullest. I mean hey its your decison go ahead and do what you want, but if you care about yourself don't do it. I don't know how many times I have had this discussion with far too many people. Its not worth it. I know your probably thinking oh nothing will happen and I won't get addicted. WRONG!!

I've done them a few times... each time was different, so I don't really recommend doing it. Schrooms can be very unpredictable! But since you're still in college I can understand why you'd want to do them...

Obviously it'd be a safer bet if one of them is sober, but having a stoned friend with you is safer than having no one at all.

Common sense usually kicks in when a human sees another human in distress (passing out, having a seizure, vomiting, dying...) unless you have bad friends that just don't care about you.

I mean it would be stupid to even try it. And I can't believe someone would say hey I tried it, and uhh if your going to, have someone with you. Quite obviously whoever happens to be with him is more than likely going to be doing it too, so I wouldn't advise you to do it. Why would you want to do it anyways?? Can you answer me that one??

If in college, you are old and smart enough to not try it. I did some stupid stuff in high school, and am lucky I made it through it, alive. Bad idea, diabetic or not. But being diabetic, we all have that reason not to. Drugs are unpredictable, as is diabetes at times. Not a good mix.
