View Full Version : No Delivery error question...?
So I saw the other thread on this and it wasn't quite my issue....
So i have had my site in for 3 days now (well put it in on Thurs, so I had to change it tonight), and at 5:00 I took 3 Units cause my blood decided to go sky rocketing... it delivered perfectly
At 7, I went to give myself the 6 Units for food and it starts off normally, and suddenly I hear a beep, I look down and sure enough, ' No Delivery'...
Weird i think because earlier it worked no problem and now it's not and I have yet to change the site....
The wire doesn't seem to be kinked, it looks normal, etc.
I then switched the infusion set to another location, and rewound the pump, yatta yatta yatta, and it delivered the remaining 4.5 units from the original 6.
My question is.... if nothing changed and it worked @ 5, WHY would it not work at 7?!

Were you out of insulin? I have mine set to alarm for Low cartridge at 20units. If I don't get around to change it for a few hours AND have a meal, I often get the No Delivery warning.
Nope - had over 120 units in my pump....

Was the cannula bent? Did you put your site close/near to where it had been previously?

When you changed the site did you change the tubing as well?
Not long ago, I couldn't prime the tubing at all, it would go like 1 or 2 units then say No Delivery. If you find that its a faulty tubing or something, I think it would be likely that MM would replace at no cost.

I had problems w/ the No Delivery when I first started pumping. Turns out I guess I just didn't have enough body fat for the canula i was using and it was inserted to deep. As some other posters have said too... could be that it was bent *shrug*
My question is.... if nothing changed and it worked @ 5, WHY would it not work at 7?!
That boggled my mind for a while too. When I was started on the pump (MM722) I was using the QickSet infusion set and as I said above, they were giving me problems. But usually they would work for a while ( 1 or 2 boluses ) and then start giving me errors. Still am not sure why that is. I now use the Silhouette infusion sets (13mm canula) and have never had a problem w/ them.
Good luck :)

Several time in Dec i had that problem and I knew it was not the infusion set. I had checked that out thoroughly. I called the Minimed hotline and they talked with me for 20 minutes. They got all kinds of info from my pump and said the pump was OK. Then they found out I had been using my upper abdomen for a long time. They said I probably had scar tissue and I should start using other body parts for my sites. Scar tissue can cause no delivery problems and even if it does deliver the absorption is slow and uneven. Rotation of sites is necessary to prevent scar tissue. I am now rotating between my lower abdomen and upper legs. I have had no more alarms and everything is going smoothly. Good luck!

Maybe I should be glad I'm taking pills after all.
I sure hope the above info. Helped you. It inlightened me on a little of what my pumper friends go thru.

I am having very similar problems. I posted previously that it may be a bent cannula that may be giving you the no delivery warning but I think I might know what it is.
When you attach the full reservoir with insulin to the set do you hear a "click" when you twist it on?
If it is OK with you maybe when you change your set the next time make sure you hear the "click" and see if it will work. :)

Scar tissue is usually my No Delivery cause. I can get the site to 'work' for a bolus or 2 by massaging it gently while the bolus is going in. I only do that when switching sites has to be delayed by circumstances.
