Hi, all. I found this site a couple of days ago and have been lurking just to see how it was. Looks great. I'm also active on another diabetes forum and figured since knowledge is power I would check out another and get more smarts and power over this nasty little pest. I was diagnosed type 2 almost 12 years ago and just recently started Lantus. Tried the no/low carb thing for awhile and had pretty good success, but, man, it's hard to stick with. I am being very careful with the carbs and trying to stick with mostly complex. I've lost 50 lbs. and am still going.:D
I am a private in home tutor with 4 grown children, 2 cats, and, oh yeah, a great husband of 35 years. Every day is an adventure. Looking forward to getting to know you folks here.;)

I love Washougal! I took some awesome pictures there once. My family travels through Vancouver twice a year to go see the grandparents. My mom's best friend also lives in Vancouver...
