Insulin Pumps - South Africa

Hi - I’m keen to get a pump.

Are there any South Africans on this forum who use insulin pumps?

I’m trying to find out what the backup support is like in South Africa - for example if your pump has a problem.

What pump companies are active in South Africa? How receptive are South African medical insurance companies to covering the costs?

Any advice would be welcome

Not sure if any SAs on this forum use a pump - I don't. But I know of two folks locally who do. And they're supported by medical insurance. Not sure which pumps are available.

I am South African living in London. While in SA, I did look into this and as far as I know it was an option on medical aid although not exactly sure of details.

Where in SA are you Graham? I know someone in JHB who may be able to give you more advice.
