I'm trying to get a ComLink kit for the MM 722, or a USB cable for the BD Paradigm Link. The ComLink is $99.99!!! Or the USB would be great too. Anyone have a good idea how? Or have an extra?

Thanks.

Minimed is giving them away now, at least the new Carelink USB Device... They are supposed to be sending them out to all eligible customers if you haven't requested one... There was (might still be) a link to order one, once you log in to

I'm looking for the previous version. I want to use the Software Solutions data management system that keeps data on your computer; I'm staying away from Carelink because it is only Web based. I don't think they're supporting the older meter now with the cables, and the comlink is so expensive.

Ahhh. gotcha.

I got the Link Meter Cable right from Nova (http://www.novamaxlink.com/), for free... Not sure if they are still doing it, maybe someone can ring in who as tried recently...

Give em a call, see what they say...

I just got a call from Medtronic. I had tried to call my original rep (who's not there any longer) and got someone else, who said she didn't think they had any more but would check. She just called to tell me they'd send me one for no charge, and it should be here Friday. I guess that frees up an itty-bit of warehouse space :D .

Thanks, s0l0x316, for your offer. Let's see what I get on Friday, and make sure it's the right one (you never know ... ). If there's a prob, I'll check back with you, if that's ok.

i believe i told others about this here ... i use a product that i found on the American Diabetes Associton website.. and now is FDA cleared it was offered by the ADA and i found a promo online that was offered by the ADA a few months back,* which gave me free year subscrition and free cable..**

the product supports all meters and let you securely share your BG data other information if choose with your careteam or LOVE ones.. NOT MY WIFE! Hmmmmmm.. she will worry if.........you know!

MyCareTeam (http://www.mycareteam.com) all you have do is enroll with this code MCT0508PROMO.

The new Ultralink meter is not usable with the MM PAL or Solutions software. I contacted MM and was told that these programs (and those who use them..( my thought) are no longer supported. There will be no patch offered to allow use with the Ultralink meter. I am trying to use Carelink, but the reports are not as good as Solutions and the shortest report period is 2 weeks. I can't use those reports. I am required to use 7 day time frames. I like the UltraLink meter, and I will use it and hope that MM changes their mind about a driver for the Solutions software that I bought 4 months ago..... The CareLink USB communications device is not supported in Solutions or PAL.

Here's my plan: I will use the new U2 meter to transfer reasonably accurate BG readings to pump, and use the pump to send all the data through the old BD Paradigm meter to the computer (via USB cable) to crunch data with Solutions Software. I think this should work. I did finally find someone at MM who would send me a free BD USB cable (they wanted $25!), and I'm supposed to get it Friday.

The other alternative, if you want something more direct, is the ComLink, which goes directly from the pump to the computer and is compatible w/Solutions. Only problem: they charge $99 for it

I talked to what seemed like a few dozen people at MM, Lifescan, Nova, Sanvita, etc. (and spent *a lot* of time on hold), and at least one knowledgeable-sounding person said that I wasn't (clearly) the only one not wanting to use Carelink, and that they take note of these sorts of feedback for future products. Was she making nice because she was my 100th transfer?  Who knows?

Fingers crossed.

And thanks for all offers for the cable. If they manage to not send me what I need ( ) I'll be in touch.
