You guys talk about some good stuff. I know because I've got some glasses now and I can read it. Something else, I got all my teeth pulled. Talk about something that will put a lock on a diet. A bunch of things I love to eat, that I'm not supposed to eat, require teeth. The plan is to get some fake teeth but I'm not in any hurry. I don't think I'm fooling myself. I feel better than I have for years. For the past week I've been able to skip some injections because I did'nt need them. It's slow hope but I'll take it. Beats the heck out of no hope.

There is always hope, however skipping injects? That’s not so great. How long you have been a type 1? Are you honey mooning? If you are honeymooning you want to be working with your pancreas by reducing the amount of effort (insulin) it has to put in. The less work your pancreas does the more work it will put into making new beta cells (insulin producing cells), which benefits you in the long run. I am jumping to conclusions and patients is not one of my virtues, so I hope that slow hope doesn't take too long. :D All is not lost.
