Hey all,

I need some help putting together a list of all the popular blood machines that are avaiable to us diabetics.

If you could help me put a list together that would be much appreciated, thanks!

Theres probably more available elsewhere Two more I know of are (UK) Boots own brand

Yeah, Precision Xtra and the OneTouch Ultras were on my list. Accu-Chek Go and Boots are in the US.

Yes sorry, I was in the middle of editing but lost my list to the ether!

Interestingly I just looked up one I'd not heard of a Glucomen made by Menarini Diagnostics and found that they also make a home Hb A1c tester which you can buy in the UK

lol I am putting together a diabetes website and want to have all the different pens, blood machines, pumps and other bits all on there for people to read abbout and such.

Interestingly I just looked up one I'd not heard of a Glucomen made by Menarini Diagnostics and found that they also make a home Hb A1c tester which you can buy in the UK

Helen, I have used it and was impressed. You get a finger pricker and something to put two samples on then you send it away to the lab. The results were e-mailed back three days after I posted it off and are DCCT aligned.

There used to be another company who did a meter called A1cNow which you could do on the spot, but they now only seem to do bulk packs for doctors, in the UK anyway. Home tests have been "coming soon" on their website for a very long time.
