I've had Type 1 for nearly seven years; diagnosed at the ripe old age of 37. No one else in my family with Type 1, but several with Type 2. I've been pumping for nearly two years. My last A1C was 6.4 (the highest I've had since my diagnosis). I test several times a day and count/weigh my carbs carefully....the thought of complications scares me to the point where I try and take good care of myself!
Stumbled upon this website and found a lot of helpful people with a lot of helpful information! I'm just introducing myself and will have a question here and there.

I just joined today! Seems like everyone is cool with lots of info.
I have been a pumper for 8 years and have stayed around 6.2 most of the time. If 6.4 is your highest, you're in good shape! I have had diabetes for 28 years (diagnosed at age 12) and never had such great control until I started on the pump? Aren't you just loving it? What type of pump do you have?
