I'm wondering if anyone else with type 1 has issues with not being able to lose body fat.

I have the worst time trying to get rid of fat on my belly and a bit around my chest and hips. The thing is, for a male, I'm not overweight at all. I'm 5'11" and weigh 155 lbs. I should be fairly skinny, but I've got this little belly that I just can't get rid of. It's not awful...it's not really obvious unless I have my shirt off, but I'd like to be able to do something about it just the same...

I'm guessing it doesn't help to be sticking a needle into my stomach several times a day. But I've always eaten pretty healthy, and even after four to six months of exercising every couple of days, I still don't see much of a change.

Is there something that's stopping me from losing the fat? Something to do with being diabetic and our metabolisms? I don't know...does anyone else have this problem?

In addition to enabling the uptake of glucose, insulin also has a key role in the storage of fat. It is very likely that repeated injections of insulin at the same sites around your stomach have left you with some noticable fat accumulating. Why don't you rotate to some alternate sites (arm, thigh, etc) and see if your accumulated stomach pockets reduce a bit.

Keep in mind that if you even tho you may be thin, you can still have serious fat (skinny fat). You might consider efforts to become more muscular and leaner which can be very beneficial.

I have definitely done my best to try and exercise. I'm not an everyday gym-goer, but I try to get there on a semi-regular basis. And I eat very healthy most of the time.

As for injections, I do try to rotate around my stomach, but I haven't really tried it anywhere else. I find it's more painful in other places. But I'll try that.

Yeah, you've got arms and legs, use them for injections. I rotate to every place I can reach.
