Just wondering others' experiences here....I have been getting these off and on for a couple of years now. I have never even mentioned it to my Dr, I don't remember to when my feet don't hurt.
I'm just having those dumb sharp pains in my toes today, and thought I'd see if anyone else gets this.
mostly my feet feel like they're asleep.
but sometimes at night there's pain.
This condition is what got me my blue hanger and all those reserved parking spaces.
Talk to your doc. There are medications that help.

I have had numb feeling toes for years now, probably were a symptom something was wrong but I didn't know what.. After nearly two years now of pre Diabetic knowledge, I find that if anything the dull feeling may be spreading slightly . It isn't as if I can't feel my feet as a light touch is still apparent, but especially when getting up some times I do have those little sharp pains in my feet on rare occasion.
I've had buzzing in my feet for years now, sometimes it travels up my legs and can affect the whole body - especially at night. For the last few weeks I've been getting burning feet - it's really uncomfortable and results in "restless legs" in bed...
I also have had major changes in whole body sensation - everything is dulled down - I used to be really ticklish, but not now, barely notice...:(
I just bought some "diabetic" socks - which are supposed to be less restrictive on the feet. I understand that the feet are very vulnerable in people with diabetes problems, so I am starting to take more care now, before anything else gets worse.

Since I mentioned that I had sort of a spread of the numb feelings in my feet to the area behind the toes, I now for the past few days had a feeling sort of like a sock bunched up in your shoe all the time on one foot. Its there even in bed. I am not sure if its related to the diabetes or from a lot of walking or something else. My guess is its the former. My readings had taken a slight upward swing for a while and it may be progressing to some degree. Not fun!

I was diagnosed type 1 a couple months ago. I have always had bad circulation in my hands. since being diagnosed i have noticed my toes do tingle sometimes. The first few times it happened i would just keep moving my feet and kind of ignored it. I recently went to the health food store and they recomended HORSE CHESTNUT for outer circulation. Ive been taking it with meals about three times a day. Natural things take longer to work than medicines. we'll see what happens. By the way, havent had tingling since i started using it. Could be coincidental.:(
