My numbers seem to be coming down. My FBG was 182 (hooray for it being under 200!) and my 2 hour post breakfast was 168 - unheard of in the last few weeks. (Breakfast was Glucerna cereal and some 1% milk.) So, fingers crossed, things are looking up!
CJ
Metformin 1000/2x day
Amaryl 2 mg/day
Byetta 5mcg/2x day
Ramipril 2.5 mg/day
Fish oil, cinnamon, baby aspirin

Glad you are finally seeing some results CJ! I'm betting your doc will raise you to the 10 mcg soon.
Off topic, have you tried the "Hood Calorie Countdown" low-carb milk...its quite good and has much less carbs than the regular milk. Comes in chocolate (w/splenda) as well. 8 oz are 4 carbs in the chocolate...I love the stuff!

My doc said that if I was seeing results on 5, she was probably going to move me to the 10mcg at 2 weeks instead of waiting a full month.
I'm going to have to take a look for that - I love chocolate milk but haven't had it in ages because of the carbs!

Glad you're seeing good results! Also on the chocolate milk topic, you can MAKE your own! Put 1 tsp of unsweetened cocoa in a cup. Add 2 tsp. Splenda and a dash of salt. Mix well. Add 2 tsp. water and stir until it forms a paste. Add desired amount of Hood's milk on top and stir until completely mixed.
YUM!
You can also have a "milkshake" by putting Breyer's carb smart ice cream, a little cocoa and Hood's milk in a blender. Nice treat!
