I eat the Atkins peanut butter bars..I think they're real good ( taste kinda vitamin-y though)...

I question the fact that it claims "Net 2 Carbs.".. it's got 22 carbs, 10 grams of Fiber, so I could see them claim net 12, but how do they get 2?... there's no sugar alcohol or anything.. I don't get it...

any thoughts on how they would arrive at that?

p.s.- i like the south beach bars too..

see... those say "Net 3 Carbs" on the packaging.. how do they arrive at that w/ 17 carbs and 9 grams of fiber on the nutrition label?

"I was told there would be no math!" (anyone remember that quote?)

17 carbs, minus
9 carbs of fiber
---
8 carbs, minus
2 carbs burned getting that freakishly impossible package open
---
6 carbs, minus
3 carbs burned just chewing that food-like substance
---
3 net carbs. Easy!

I like the Kashi chewy bars...only about 15-18 carbs. Their fiber is a little more natural than the gross added cardboard stuff in the super-high fiber bars.

I mostly get the Zone Perfect bars. They're very sweet, but not exactly low carb -- they're in the range of 20-24 carbs per bar (1g fiber). However, they don't taste chalky or chewy like most of the other bars. My favorites are the Chocolate Mint, the Double Dark Chocolate, and the Chocolate Almond Biscotti.

Clif Bars are delicious. They're not exactly low carb either, but very low GI. On average 5-6 grams fat, 45 grams carbs, 5 grams fiber, and 10 grams protein. All natural and 70% organic too, if that kinda thing matters to you. Check them out: Clif Bar. (http://www.clifbar.com/food/products_clif_bar/)
