That is certainly good news. The fewer drugs the better (but never less than you need :D )

Yeah, that is one that makes it hard to loose weight and keeps fluid on the body. Doc said I should loose about 10 pounds in the first week of reduced med. Also said wished he had my BP 110/70!

That is fantastic! Oh, I hope to be able to cut some of my meds in the near future! Right now I am in a slump so I don't see it happening too soon. Keep up the good work, that is an inspiration to all of us! ;)

Did not realize how much fluid I was retaining. Cut back the Avandia yesterday and have really lost a lot of fluid already. Thanks for the encouraging words.:D

Janlaton, I'm really curious about the weight loss. Would you let us know in a few days about the percent of body weight you lose, or perhaps the actual weight lost?

Excellent! Bet you feel so good. Feel proud and keep up the good work. I bet you'll feel better when you have lost that retained water.

Bwah-ha-ha-ha. Sorry about that. All clear now. The funnel cloud did not touch down and the rotation in the storm stopped, so the tornado warning is canceled.
Anyway, Jantalon, do you feel different after that water loss? Could you tell previously that you were retaining water?

What no laptop to take down with you? Did you get a tornado?
I am trying to do more walking and exercising. Do you know you have to walk 30 miles to burn a pound of fat? Wonder how long you have to do seated aerobics to burn one?

I thought I was dealing pretty well with it with one furosemide 2 xs a week but obviously not as well as I thought. I do have more energy now and not as much swelling in my abdomen. My feet and legs do not swell because I wear the ted hose all the time. No where for fluid to collect!

I remember reading that an energetic session of sex burned as many calories as walking two miles, so instead of walking 30 miles to burn off one pound of fat, you could have sex 15 times a day...or maybe walk two miles, have sex.....walk another two miles....have sex again....etc.:D

Now that's an exercise routine I'd be willing to try... I think I'd have to work up to it, though. Sort of like working up from a 5K to an Ironman. ;)

I think I'll stick to walking my hubby is a prostate cancer survivor. I also do a lot of water and seated aerobics. I spend time doing Tia chi when my balance is good, hard to do anything like that holding onto the walker!
