I was diagnosed 2/28. I don't remember my A1C number, but I believe around upper 6s - low 7s. Doc diagnosed because my triglycerides jumped over 100 points in 6 months. Since then, I've been on 500 mg Metformin and 600 mg Gemfibrozil twice a day.

Friday morning I go visit the vampyr. I'm kinda looking forward to it. I was just sitting here charting my progress.

For the past 12 weeks, my AM numbers are averaging 102, and my PM numbers are averaging 106. Any guesstimate what my new A1C will be?

I'm really hoping the triglycerides have dropped too.

Chollyred,

My 30 day Avg (on my meter) was 104 and my 14 day avg was around 102. This might give you an idea. And, do you measure your 2 hr PP also?

My triglycerides dropped from 166 to 77 (in 4 months, with dieting and exercise) and my cholestrol went from 139 to 101 and LDL went from 78 to 57.

I still need to improve on my HDL (still at 29). Other than that exercise and dieting has done wonders to me!

Keep smiling chollyred, Stick the arm out. don't forget to drink lots of fluids the day before so they can easily find your veins and take all your blood. I bet you have dropped a whole point at least.:nurse:

Your readings average to 104 which converts to an A1c of 5.1.
My A1c results run about 1.0 to 1.2 above the converted glucose readings. If you test the way I do it should be on the 6.2 range.
