After a recent chiropody/podiatary appointment I've been told I have neuropathy :(
But I thought with neuropathy you got pain ??
I have lost some sensation in my right big toe and that it, no pain, no nothing - is that neuropathy or something else ??

I don't know if what you're experiencing is neuropathy, but for me, what I sometimes feel is a tingling or numbness in my toes. I had it for a while....till I got my BG numbers down. When I did that, the numbness changed into some pain....as if the nerves were repairing some damage that had been done. I rarely get anything now, but when I do , it's usually just a bit of pain, and it only lasts for a few seconds to maybe a minute.

Neuropathy means damaged nerves. The symptoms can be various: loss of feeling, tingling, and pain. It's now imperative that you check your feet daily for any signs of damage you may not feel. Early detection is the best defense. Daily exercise, walking, is a must too to keep your circulation going.

Yep, sounds like you are there. As above, keep a close check on your feet. This is the start of the time when you can develop sores and have no idea that you have them. It is so dangerous and is what winds up in amputation because of the delay in taking care of the wound.
Be sure not to go barefooted. Bath your feet daily and keep your socks clean and no wrinkles in your socks to rub sores!
There is much info on neuropathy just google on it and pages and pages pop up!
Hope all goes well.
