Anyone keep a log of how many calories they eat or macros?

(love to share)

In general I don't keep track of calories, but recently I was surprised to find that 1/4 cup of mixed nuts has about as many calories as 3/4 cup of cereal (but very different effects on blood sugar, of course). How about you? Have you noticed any relation between calories and blood sugar level or any other discoveries?
Cheers,
David

After I was dxd my dietician put me on an 1800 calorie/day plan. It is a bit high because of my lows and because I exercise regularly. It took me about a month or so to know about how much 1800 calories is. I don't really count anymore unless I start gaining weight.

WOULD YOU MIND SHARING A DAILY MENU TO WHAT YOU EAT NOW? (ROUGHLY)

Well, I would say something like this...give or take.
Breakfast: bowl of cereal glass orange juice I slice of lightly buttered toast
Lunch: 1 1/2 Tuna sandwich with carrot and celery sticks, milk, a FEW chips
Snack: Apple or sugar free jello
Supper: 1 slice pizza and maybe another gass of low fat milk.

I dont know the exact exchange for these things, but this is a typical day for me. I do eat quite a few carbs but I do get more lows than I do highs. However I get hghs on occassion. It is hard for me to tell though. I can go from 160 bg 3 - 4 hrs after eating then crash down to 60 in less than an hour and I am not on insulin.

Found out that eating a small snack 70 -100 calories 3 hours after a meal I can avoid that spike and drop.

Yes, I have found that very helpful too. I just don't always do it! LOL I think it is because I am afraid of gaining back too much weight.
