gretzky4,
Solicitation for funds and repeat posting is not allowed on Diabetesforums. Your posts will continue to be deleted should you persist. Explanations and warnings have been sent to you that it would behoove you to read, and we ask that you follow the rules. I regret having to make this a public response, but the messages we've sent so far seem to have been missed.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Shalyndria

I tried emailing you but I didn't get a reply. I'm complying with your rules however I think it should be left up to the members and not the people running this forum to decide if they mind giving to the Diabetes Assoc. through this channel. I don't think you would get many complaints if it was put to them. I am not profitting from my request and the money collected would help all of you.

gretzky4,
I deleted one of your posts for the very reasons Shy outlined to you. Not only are such posts violations of the forum rules, but it is a little crass to make your debut in such a manner. With the number of scams on the Internet, how are we supposed to know you or your event are legit?
If you don't like the way Diabetesforums.com is run, you are free to leave. Either enjoy the forums as they are presented to you or take a hike.

Uh, this really isn't any of my business, but as a year + long member here, I have to say that I appreciate the protection Tony and his Moderators provide to us. This is a safe and comfortable environment and unlike many other places on the web, it's not open to anybody doing anything they feel like. Tony owns the site and allows us, as long as we follow the rules (which in my mind are completely reasonable) to meet others and share some of our most personal experiences.
Thanks you guys!

If you don't like the answer Shalyndria and TAutry gave you then don't bother reading it.

I'm sorry to butt in but I have to agree with HeatherP. Tony developed this site as a favor to all of us out here. I would really hate for him to have to pull the plug on it. I've come to depend on my "new friends" and I need them to keep my sanity.(Thanks guys!!!!!!). Thanks Tony. Your rules are not debatable for anyone. I happen to agree with them.:) Thanks Tony for making this a safe and wonderful place to be.:D

PS If I am out of line on this or anything, I don't mind having my replies or posts deleted. That's how we learn.

OK, I am kinda new here, and this may be outta line, but where are the rulez posted?
I checked the FAQ and a few other places. I found lots of usage and technical bits, but no general do's and don'ts...
:stupid:

The general do's and don'ts are outlined when one first registers; if you recall koblenz, there was a page that said some of the following:

All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Diabetes Forums or Jelsoft Enterprises Limited (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

Thanks Shy, I do remember that, I just thought perhaps there was some "in depth" list of do's and don'ts that I missed.
OK, enough said.
I promise I will play nice with the others, but I don't like sharing my toys! :D :smartass:

Actually, as long as you acknowledge Shy as Queen of the Known Universe, don't talk about Tony's eyes , accuse Harold of being a teeny, short old man (see pix in Face with Name thread) or threaten TAutry with beiing shipped off to be a Yankee>>>>> pretty much everything is Cool, COPACETIC.
Although he was wrong in calling me the Queen; I'm the Empress of the Known Universe ;) :whistling
I'll even share my toys....that is as long as you don't bite them or slobber all over them! :D
LOL!!

Shhhhhh no worries, she never has to know. You just nod and smile and let her continue believing that while we all know the truth.......no reason to crush her hopes and dreams! ;) :- :p
Besides, you probably are her known universe, which would make her the Empress in her own mind.....heheheheheh.....

You have to click on the "post reply" button to have your siggie show up in your posts. Using the box at the bottom of the thread won't do it.
