Good Morning everyone
It has now been a week since I started Lantus and the difference in me in how I feel is remarkable.
I just got back some of the blood tests taken last week. My c-peptide results are 1.4 and he checked to see how much insulin I had in my blood. The lowest range was 3 and I ended up with a 3.4.
It seems I am not making enough insulin...........he called it poor, or "stale insulin production system". First time I have been called "stale".....I know I am getting old, but geesh, stale???
BUN was high, and I have no idea what BUN is.
What does all these results mean??
I see the endo in 5 weeks, but see his RN for insulin shot instructions next week.
