I just got back from a few weeks in Osaka Japan on business, and I am here to tell you it was very, very hard to stop temptation. I LOVE japanese food, mostly noodles, rice and everything that goes with it.

So knowing I could not have it, I ate a lot of Yakitori, Donburi without the rice and Pork Katsu.

Next time I go I may bring my own noodles for them to use, and have my Yakisoba. Everywhere I went they did not have wheat noodles, mostly at the train stations they have Soba shops that have the Wheat Noodle hot or cold in soup.

Sounds like a very interesting business trip. I would really have a hard time eating. I would stand there looking at the food and wondering how the heck to bolus for it. Sounds like you did great.

Welcome home!!!!

I have been traveling to Japan since 1977. I lived there for 7 years, so it's not anything new to me.

Eating there is another story though......
