Hi all :)
Check out the Glucon (http://www.glucon.com/main.asp?t=3) , a continuous, non-invasive, real-time glucose monitoring device that is currently in prototype. It uses photoacoustics to measure the glucose in blood vessels.
Neat concept if they can get it past the desktop stage ;) , and also if they can go above and beyond the current glucowatch.

Omg... that is so cool!

Hope they don't discover that it has some bizarre side effect of long term usage... like causing one's hand to fall off... thus nixing the project. :rolleyes: lol

Would be great if this one made it to the market. :)

I think that is great. I would love to get one for Thomas. He is still checking his bs A LOT. We just found out that in Nov. he is getting a Guardian. I cant wait. Then he wont feel he has to check too much and we can save on strips!!

This looks like the watch the young girl in the movie "Panic Room" was wearing. I remember being a little annoyed at that movie for showing this cool BS measurment device that was pure science fiction and I could not have. Guess I was wrong.

Don't let the Militia Crazies hear about this one. They'll be hollaring about how the "Gummit" will be able to monitor us even more and how the "Gummit" will control our minds with the Black heliocopters roamin' 'round all over the place.

BTW, it is pretty cool, I believe I'll have one, please.{{depending on the cost, of coourse.}}
