Hello!
I was unable to have a flu jab because I was too unwell. Little did I know at the time, I was coming down with the flu already!
My question is this one : should I bother with a flu jab once I'm over this stupid virus?

There are different strains of flu so if I was you I would have the shot as it may help to prevent you catching another type. I'm having mine on 11 Nov at work.
I hope you have a rapid recovery & hope you aren't feeling too bad. Flu's the pits.
I am ALL over the spectrum on this issue: The flu shot only provides protection from three strains of flu, and there are some who would argue that the protection provided even for those three is not that great (ie, the shot is ineffective). And typically, there are dozens of strains that go around every year--The strain that caused such hysteria last year was NOT included in the available vaccines, for example. So your chances of getting the "flu" are still decent even if you get the shot.
-BUT-
getting the flu is the absolute pits, and if taking twenty minutes out of your day to get a shot that minimizes your risk of flu for at least three strains, that makes a little sense, doesn't it? Eh, like I said, I am all over the place with this issue...

I'm one of those people who, if I could find a comfortable pair of suspenders/braces I'd wear them and a belt too.
So, Old Grandpa's advice would be to get the shot. You can't be too careful.

Personally I would still get it, you never can be too careful!
