Hi Willow :)
About two years ago I spoke with both my Endo as well as my CDE (who is a 30 year veteran, on the pump, and has been through two pregnancies herself) and bought, upon recommendation, the book "Diabetes & Pregnancy: What to Expect" by the ADA Council on Pregnancy. It was very basic and targeted more toward Gestational Diabetes (IMO), but did have some helpful tidbits. For the most part it was a short read that was not overwhelming.
I haven't had a chance to read "Medical Management of Pregnancy Complicated by Diabetes", which the ADA also published, but it was the one that my CDE highly recommended (unfortunately I wasn't able to get it at the time, and circumstances changed lol). If you have a look at
Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1580400132/ref=pd_bxgy_text_1/103-8976848-2897446?v=glance&s=books&st=*) you can read a short synopsis and see if that's something you'd be interested in.
Good luck, I hope I've helped some :)

Thank you Shy - have ordered Medical Management of Pregnancy Complicated by Diabetes from Amazon UK. I just want to know everything (lol) before we start a family in the next couple of years or so.
Haha Heather P I am content being an aunty to my 1 week year old niece for the moment!
Cheers me dears
