The ADA magazine, "Diabetes Forecast", is celebrating its 6o'th anniversary with the Oct. issue this year. They have an article on several diabetics who have had diabetes for more than 60 years and are doing well. I am one of the diabetics in the article. On page 60 of the issue is a picture of me and my write-up is just above my pic. I feel like a baby because the other diabetics in the article are all older and have had diabetes longer than me. Some have had diabetes for mor that 80 years. WOW!! I have a long ways to go folks and I am going to do it too. Here is the online write-up but not including the pics.

Wow! Congratulations on being featured! We haven't gotten the October issue yet, but I'll be sure to keep a lookout for your picture.
One of the diabetes nurse-educators here in Hawaii has been living with diabetes for 50+ years. Whenevber she says that at conferences, she gets a standing ovation.
