Hi Guys,
This is my first time having a cold since I have been diagnosed.I was wondering what a good cold med would be to take? and if there are any ones I should avoid?
Thanks!

I would avoid any syrupy ones like Nyquil and the like. There are some diabetic Nyquils that you can take for example: Diatussin (Diabetic Tussin) and that's sold at wal-mart in the pharmacy area - cherry flavored. There are a couple of other kinds. I would think that cold pills could work too. Ask Erin, she's a pharm tech. :) Hope you feel better.

i would also try sugar-free robitussin. i found it at target and it has flavor. if you don't like the taste of meds then diabetic tussen is best because they have ones that are flavorless and colorless. and of course, the pill forms would work also! be sure to stay hydrated and get lots of rest! i love eating sugar-free jello and chicken noodle soup! get better soon:)
